Wern Isaf is principally a working farm, situated half a mile from the centre of bustling little Llangollen, at just sufficient elevation to give the gently sloping camping field an unobstructed view out over the lovely Dee Valley. What may not be apparent from up here is the fact that almost everything you could possibly want to do from a campsite can be done from here. The site has facilities for caravans, tents and motor caravans, super pitches are available with hard standing, there are toilets and showers and a small childrens play area.
The 750ft high hill is topped by Castle Dinas Bran, built by Welsh Princes. Llangollen has many attractions such as the River Dee and the Canoeing Centre, the Riverside Park newly refurbished with cafe and miniature golf, and the Llangollen Steam Railway which runs 7 miles along the picturesque Dee Valley following the River Dee to Carrog.
Llangollen hosts the world renowned International Musical Eisteddfod every July. It also holds the Llangollen Fringe Festival, Food Festival and Gardening shows and the Hot Air Balloon Festival in September along with many more events throughout the year.
Other activities available in Llangollen and the surrounding area include canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing/abseiling, caving, mountain biking, pony trekking, fishing, walking, hiking, we are only half a mile from the offa?s Dyke path.
Why not take a shopping trip 20 mins from us to the new Eagles Meadow shopping centre, or visit Historic Chester with its Medieval rows.
Llangollen is an excellent touring base for North Wales and Snowdonia, only an hours drive to the coast.

Wern Isaf also have caravans for hire.
